Interactive Art Director / Lead Graphic Designer

We Are Offering As an Interactive Art Director at Citizen, you will be able to lead multiple, highly-engaging campaigns as the primary design voice, and participate in the full scope of the project, from strategy to execution. Your primary responsibility will be to define and own the interactive/user experience of the agency's digital design service, in a visual and functional way. In addition, you are given the freedom to accelerate your skills in all the areas that Citizen works, such as advertising, brand identity & print design, campaign development, messaging and more.

Your Skills Include (but are not limited to)

• 5+ years experience in interactive/visual design in an agency environment
• Strong conceptual design thinking
• Expertise in designing intuitive interactive (digital) functionality, user interfaces and overall experiences
• Excellent overall design sense across multiple mediums and applications -composition, typography, color, etc.
• Strong leadership skills - responsible ownership of projects, mentorship of junior designers
• Strong communication skills - ability to interface and make presentations to clients as well as collaborate with internal team
• Positive attitude - works well within a highly integrated and ego-less team

Technical Skills Include (but are not limited to)

• Expertise in all the usual Adobe Creative programs and Mac platform
• Experience in building information architecture, sitemaps and wireframes for a variety of multi-page, multi-function sites
• Firm grasp on industry-leading conventions in interactive/user experience design
• Firm knowledge of the requirements of designing production-ready files for the web or other digital environments
• Understanding of the uses of different web development languages and technologies

A bonus, but not required

• Education or applicable degree in graphic or interactive design
• Experience writing various web development languages
• Knowledge of Flash
• Experience designing for mobile or other
• Print design expertise
