Citizen recently earned the 2012 IAC Award for Best Integrated Advocacy Campaign from the Web Marketing Association for The BREATHE Project. The BREATHE Project seeks to raise public awareness and build the business and political will to improve air quality in the Pittsburgh region, which has among the worst air quality in the nation. The integrated campaign entitled, "Connect The Dots" includes a web community platform, television, radio, outdoor, online and events, to draw the connection between air pollution and higher rates of asthma, respiratory disease, and cancer in the western Pennsylvannia region.
