Risky Business

The Risky Business Project represents a first-of-its-kind effort to report on the potential costs of climate change, providing businesses, investors, and policymakers with critical information about the nature of the risks faced county by county, and zip code by zip code. Citizen Group worked with Bloomberg Philanthropies and Next Generation to design the report, the website, interactive heat maps, and video series featuring Risky Business co-chairs Michael Bloomberg, Henry Paulson, and Tom Steyer, as well as former Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin and other luminaries.

The landmark report, “Risky Business: The Economic Risks of Climate Change in the United States” and the supporting tools illuminate how the American economy faces significant widespread disruptions from climate change, and also how the most severe risks can still be avoided through specific actions.
